Cracked Vessels

It’s been a while since we last posted a free download, because we’ve been working on stuff to release properly. Here, then, is a short, summerscape of an instrumental. It’s called ‘Unluted’. Turn it up, it creeps quietly. Click the forward arrow to play it, click the downward arrow to download it. Share it.

We hope you enjoyed the Easter break and this month of April finds you well.

We have produced a new seasonal photoset, here: Eostre

Adam Walton of BBC Radio Wales played ‘Neuro’ on his Easter Sunday show and remarked on our use of space and organic noises. You can listen again here until next Sunday evening:

Snow Angels & Drowning

Hello.

We took some pictures of things we found in the snow.

Snow Angel 10

Snow Angels (lots of photos if you click).

Oh and even though it’s not a “release” or anything, our cover of ‘This Will Be Our Year’ was amusingly and delightfully reviewed in this week’s Drowned In Sound Singles Reviews by Wendy Roby. We like “deliciously watery”. Thank you.

Huw & Cry/Artwork

…Crying tears of Joy of course. Lovely Huw Stephens played ‘Foolstide’ on his 9pm show tonight. This is the iPlayer link, which will be live for a week, and here’s the tracklisting:

We’re very happy to be sitting alongside brilliant folk like Paul White, Memory Tapes, Wetdog and Munch Munch.

Also, in our flurry of excitement earlier, we totally forgot to post who was behind the artwork for ‘Foolstide’:

'Foolstide' full artwork

The original illustration was drawn by Mr Steven Horry the Second – whose sketches we saw recently and loved - and the graphic design is by us, the Golau Glau collective. Look out for more collaborations with Mr Steven Horry the Second in future, as we’re rather fond of the way he interpreted the idea of showing how Father Christmas was used as a weapon in the war between Puritanism and Yuletide festivities.
