First Fold Books have just published the second issue of their journal, Premier Pli. They kindly asked us to contribute to the journal and accompanying CD. You can hear new music from us plus read short stories and see new photographs and artwork. Other contributors include Jon Brooks, Craig Earp and Katy Acquaye-Tonge.
Also ‘HENRY (The Methods Of Ethics 2011)’ will be showing at Bank Street Arts and other venues as part of Pandemic in Sheffield, which runs for a week from 5th November. Programme below:
One of our big projects at the moment is a sonic and visual art installation for Beacons festival in August, ‘HENRY (The Methods Of Ethics 2011)’. We’re currently doing a lot of research and recording for this. It is partially based on the work of Henry Sidgwick, who was born in Skipton – near where the festival is held.
The Guardian have today published summer arts calendars for various places around the UK, written by local experts, and Beacons makes it into the Leeds calendar, including a little mention for Golau Glau.
There’s an amazing write-up about us/’Somato’ in the Armchair Dancefloor column over at Drowned In Sound today. Bigups to the mighty Rory Gibb. The column also covers our good friends at the Exotic Pylon, Leyland Kirby (who we love) and more.
